The Business IGCSE is an internationally recognised qualification that is designed to develop a good understanding of business terminology, concepts, and ideas within different contexts, such as international markets.

• The aims of this course are to provide students with an in depth understanding of business ideas, skills, and concepts, through familiarising our students with business terminology and examples of real-life scenarios which are embedded throughout the course.
• The course provides students with a solid understanding of key business concepts, which includes: stakeholders, finance, roles within a business, production, international markets, types of businesses, expansion and innovation.

This content is covered over 5 modules, all of which contain an assessment upon completion to help test and cement the student’s knowledge and understanding. Therefore, this gives our students the best chance of an IGCSE qualification in a flexible and affordable manner.

Course Module listing 

This module covers the various objectives of a business, changing business environments and criteria for judging success. The focus is on the importance of having clear business objectives and how the business environment provides opportunities for, and imposes constraints upon, the pursuit of these objectives.

This section looks at people in organisations, focusing on their roles, relationships and management in business.

This module explores the use of accounting and financial information as an aid to decision making.

This module focuses on identifying and satisfying customer needs in a changing and competitive international environment.

This Module examines the way organisations use and manage resources to produce goods and services.

 How do I sit the IGCSE Exam?

Approximately 6 months before an exam date, Students should book their place at an exam center to take the IGCSE Business Studies  qualification exam.The exam center could be a private exam center or a school or college that is also submitting its own students for the exam. Cambridge publish a list of exam centres that accept private candidates. This won’t cover every available center, so if there’s nothing shown in your area, we recommend contacting local schools and colleges directly.Exam fees are not included in the course cost as they are paid directly to the exam center. They will vary depending on which center you choose.

 How will I know if I am eligible to complete an IGCSE?

The typical age at which people choose to complete the IGCES’s is 14 to 16, but anyone over the age of 14 can enrol onto this course. You also do not need any previous qualifications to be eligible for this course.
